On the same afternoon, a consultation event was held with the local community and local authorities in the Gkaliouri Hall in Myrina, as part of the BLUE MUNICIPALITIES NETWORK. The discussion was moderated by Deputy Mayor Mr. Vaggelis Chasapis and Mr. Sarelakos from Aegean Rebreath. The development of a strategic action plan for the marine environment was discussed, aiming at the medium-term planning of pilot programs and initiatives for the island of Lemnos. Needs and proposals related to the protection of the coastal and marine environment were also recorded.
During the weekend of 20 and 21 September 2025, volunteer clean-ups and the identification of polluted areas were carried out in the area of the old port of Myrina, with the participation of approximately 20 volunteers from Aegean Rebreath.
